That's Mr. Simmons to you!

We LOVE Guitar Hero in this house. And by WE, of course I mean Avery and Billy. I love ot watch Avery dance around while her Daddy plays. Then, I happened to come across the COOLEST toy ever at WalMart and had to get it.

Avery Gets to rock out with her Daddy now! Which has made for some cute photo ops.

So now, you can call me Shannon (as in Tweed)...Lucky for Billy, I am all natural and have never posed for Playboy!! How did he ever got so lucky?

The Samoan Princess had her shcool pictures today. She looked so cute when I dropped her off. I left a change of clothes for her teachers to change her after her pictures, but when Billy picked her up this afternoon, she was still wearing her dress...And amazingly it was still clean.

So I took a gazillion pictures of her running around the house in her weee little puletasi. My cute toot.

Avery Ceratops

Aunt Sonia has been here visiting all week. She just came home from Afghanistan where she spent a year driving convoy all over the country. We are so proud of her.

We have always suspected Avery of being a little "boy crazy" but it was confirmed this week, when all week, Avery would have NOTHING to do with Aunt Sonia. We initially attributed the aversion to separation anxiety, however, our good friend Dan, from Florida was also in town this week and when we met him for dinner on Thursday, you would have thought Avery had known him her whole life the way she was laughing and playing and hugging on him. Poor Aunt Sonia. She came all this way to meet Avery, and Avery would have none of it. We have all decided that Avery will in all liklihood, not have a favorite Aunt, but a favorite uncle...or two or three. And we will probably have to chain her to the bedroom wall until she's 25. She is such a mess. I am pretty sure she would have nothing to do with me either, if I wasn't her momma.

MMMM

So, to give you a little history, I went to the daycare center a few weeks ago after I got out of the gym after work to stalk my daughter. I work mid shift...1100pm until 0800am. I only get a few hours with her in the evenings becasue of my schedule. So sometimes when I get done with work and the gym, I stop by to watch her through the window...

On this particular day, she was seated at the table eating breakfast. All the other kids (4) were seated at the other end of the table, and there was Avery, all alone, eating by herself. It made me sad, and a little angry. So I decided to go in that afternoon to pick her up and ask her teachers why she sits alone during meal time.
It's becasue she steals everyone else's food. She get's it honest, I guess.
I love my little piggy.

In the beginning...

Well, here it is. In all of it's not so fabulous glory. It isn't much, but it is a beginning. We are Billy and Emily, hence BiMily. I too, thought it was magical and clever. I thought about calling it many things:

"The Pickle Princess" Obviously because Avery was born on National Pickle Day. SERIOUSLY. The man of the house didn't dig this name so much, because he calls her pumpkin. I wanted to call her pickle before she was born. Then, when I was digging around trying to come up with a clever blog name, I discovered that Nov. 14th is National Pickle Day. It was a sign. It was meant to be...or so I thought. But Billy did bring up a good point. It isn't just about her, so we had to come up with something else. Besides, she has the cutest, roundest pumpkin shaped head. Pickle really doesn't fit her for a nickname...Rest assured though, she is every bit of the princess that the title implies.

"Mayhem and Foolishness" from my fav. TV show at the moment, Clean House. Afterall, if I don't have the energy to clean my own house, at least I can watch other people doing it on TV. Shout out Ms. Niecy!! Anyhoo, the title sounds cool and flashy, but we are actually pretty boring. So we didn't want anyone to sue us for misrepresenting our product. We know how much of a let down it is when to find the perfect pair of shoes...but only get to wear them once becasue they are too painful and crippling to continue on with the torture. I really wish there was a shoe rental place, so we could test the product in it's true intended purpose before purchase. But then that's all kinds of gross, 'cause we never know where someone's feet have been (or haven't been ie a bathtub or shower)

"The 2P Parade" For Kadin's nickname Peanut and Avery's nickname Pumpkin...but what happens when we have another baby and his/her nickname is scooter or boobie. Then we have a huge problem...not of monumental proportions, like the current state of the economy or the war in Iraq, but still, huge to me none the less. Then the name would be all wacky like "The 2P Parade and scooter" And no one likes a wack blog name.
So here it is...BiMily. In all it's fab-o-less-ness. I am pretty proud of meeself. And since we all know the real reason you are reading this blog is for the updates on the princess, heeer you go: She started walking about a month or so ago. That's right peeps. She was walking at about 9 months. With ZERO encouragement from mom and dad. Kadin didn't walk until 18 months, for obvious reasons...and that was hard enough. Avery is into EVERYTHING. And EVERYTHING is hazardous or potentially deadly. Like the TV dinner trays. The really heavy I-just-have-to-touch-them-until-they-fall-over-onto-my-head-dinner trays. Why? Who knows. But it just isn't a normal day in the Gazzaway kitchen until I have fussed at her to stop. Her latest trick is sneaking up the stairs. Speaking of stop...she is doing really well with the baby signs. They started teaching her in daycare how to use baby signs and I must admit it is pretty cool when Avery "tells" me she wants milk or wants to play or wants her ball or wants more. Here are a few recent photos....
