Awesomeness.

I just wanted to share the awesomeness that was today. It started out a little overcast and breezy but by the end of the day it was gorgeous.

Avery is still a wee too little to sit through 35 minutes of this. She was done after about 10minutes. It was a good show...lots of splashing

After the Shouka Show we went to the "zoo" part of the park. Last summer when Tony and Mia and Kayla came to visit, we didn't even know this of part of the park was here.

Here is an Elephant getting a bath so it can give rides. Billy offered for me and Avery to go for a ride, but I think they were pretty stinky. Who wants to smell like an elephant??

And here is the weird Giraffee that was licking the wind.

And Here is Avery's first amusement park ride. She loved it and asked for more and threw a tantrum everytime the ride stopped. Trust me, it's only cute when it's someone else's kid.

So Now it's Momma's turn to ride again. YAY!

We had an amazingly awesome day. We even had funnel cake!!

SSSHHH!

These little gnomes were in my Grandma's garden and when she passed away the summer before Avery was born, my dad took them to put in his garden. There are about 6 or so. Avery's favorite was the little sleeping gnome with the green hat. She was very protective and made sure everyone was very quiet while "baby is seep, SSHHH!"

Checking on her baby!
Sitting at the big table like a grown-up with Aunt Marie and Granny Shelby.

Mars...definitely

A Long time ago, back in the 90's, someone wrote a book called "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus."
I have to agree. Men are pretty Martian in their ways, but especially when it comes to weddings.
For instance, Sarah had 3 different appointments, all on different days, to get herself ready. One for fingers and toes, one for hair and make-up, and one for tanning.

And Sarah has spent the last year of her life getting ready for this one day. It was crazy insanity...hanging the lights and lanterns, chair bows, table runners, centerpieces...it goes on and on.

Here's how boys help with lights and lanterns

It was probably better this way. Much safer for the boys....she was advertising her state of mind for all to see:

In the end, it was fabulous. She was beautiful and the wedding was beautiful. I cried, but it wasn't becasue the DeeJay didn't play the Abba songs I requested. It's becasue I am so happy for my fabulous baby sister and her amazing husband. It seems like an eternity ago that I married Billy, but I still remember what it felt like the first time I called him "my husband" And for that and those feelings, I am so happy.
Welcome to the family, Ryan.

What the....

So I have been in Idaho...if you can believe it, my little sister got married. I am OLD. So much happened in the short time I was there. Too much to post in one entry, so I'll break this up over a few days...

First was the bachelorette party...Now, Sarah is only 20, so that meant we were staying in. We still had a great time...We had "phallic" theme foods, we played lots of games like dirty pictionary (I must admit, even I learned somethin new) and the hot dog game. We played a "who knows the bride and groom the best" game. I do not know my sister as well as I thought i did. Oddly, I know more about Ryan, my new brother-in-law, than I do about my sister. For some reason, Sarah gots lots of whips as bachelorette gifts. Apparently, everyone thinks Ryan needs a good spanking.

Sarah has great girlfriends, so it was a great time. I hung with all the young'uns and even out did a few. I was proud.
